Natural Grocers by Vitamin Cottage
Natural Grocers by Vitamin Cottage is sponsoring a nationwide promotion and donation drive for Second Wind Fund, Inc. from July through September! Donations in stores in your state will be matched by Natural Grocers, and your donation and the match will be donated to your local Affiliate. Thank you to Natural Grocers, and to our donors for supporting kids at-risk for suicide in their communities!
A special thanks to the State of Colorado and Colorado Works for providing a State Strategic Use Funds grant that has provided funding to support and/or start a total of nine Affiliate Programs in the state of Colorado helping Second Wind Fund provide mental health services to over 80% of the Colorado youth population.
Foundation Grants
Kaiser Permanente's Community Benefit Leadership Team approved significant financial support to Second Wind Fund, Inc, as well as four Affiliate Programs including Second Wind Fund of Metro Denver, Second Wind Fund of Boulder County, Second Wind Fund of Douglas County and Second Wind Fund of El Paso and Teller Counties.
The Denver Foundation also recently awarded a substantial grant to Second Wind Fund, Inc., primarily for therapy for kids at-risk for suicide in Metro Denver, Boulder, and Douglas Counties.
The Anschutz Foundation also awarded Second Wind Fund, Inc. with a grant to support our work and the work of our Colorado Affiliates. This funding will be distributed to all 9 Colorado Affiliate Programs to provide direct mental health services for youth at-risk for suicide.
The Adolph Coors Foundation recently awarded a grant to Second Wind Fund, Inc., for support of its Metro Denver, Boulder, and Douglas County Affiliates.
The Edmund T. and Eleanor Quick Foundation, Wells Fargo Foundation, Hawthorn Family Foundation, and the John G. Duncan Charitable Trust have also given grants to assist Second Wind Fund, Inc. and its Affiliates in our life-saving work.
Abiding Hope Lutheran Church Supports National Expansion
Abiding Hope Lutheran Church provided Second Wind Fund, Inc. with a generous donation to support our expansion throughout the United States. "We believe that every community should have this program available for their youth" states Pastor Doug Hill.
